Thomas J. Kelly III has been developing a reputation in radio, television and New York for his smart humor and goofy charm.
Thomas J. Kelly's main drive in life is to write and perform comedy for broadcast. Since 2006 Tom has been the warm up comedian for ABC's "The View." He also writes for the United Stations Radio Networks where his writing is syndicated on over 30 stations around the country including stations in New York City and Los Angeles.
Kelly is currently starring in an Internet based video series "The Little Merman." "The Little Merman" is a docu-comedy about Tom's quest to be the first male mermaid at Weeki Wachee Springs. The series follows Kelly as he quits comedy and moves from New York City to Weeki Wachee Springs, Florida to become and underwater performer and the first "merman" at the legendary tourist attraction. Kelly recently created the wedding humor website IHateWeddings.com. The site's "Wedding Gift Calculator" was mentioned on The Howard Stern Show and his "Wedding Crashing Tips" were discussed on New York's Z100.
He is currently showcasing a short film in festivals which supplement's the humor found on IHateWeddings.com. "My Cousin's Wedding Video With Commentary Track" explains how Thomas J. Kelly was invited cousin's wedding only to have to shoot and edit her wedding video. In his "Commentary Track" version, Kelly tells his story while his comedian friends make fun of his cousin's wedding video.
Kelly also co-hosts a weekly podcast found at ThisShowAgain.com. On "This Show Again" Tom Kelly and his best friend Mike McGarrigle host a cast of regulars and experts who discuss pop-culture, independent music and ways for you to live your life. Jeff Van Dam of The New York Times calls "This Show Again" "funny, and listening to the show is like sitting at a neighborhood bar with friends."
As the Writer's Assistant at The Rosie O'Donnell Show, Kelly saw many of his bits make it to air. Also, during the 2000 Presidential Election, Kelly created Goregals.com. It was the only web-site on the internet "dedicated to Al Gore's hot daughters." The site was the subject of a lot of internet and radio press.
